The College of Pharmacy - University of Basrah offers an undergraduate study program granting a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy. The study period for this program is five years, during which students acquire all the knowledge and skills to work as professional pharmacists in hospitals, community pharmacies, the pharmaceutical industry, and academia. Throughout the study program, students will study subjects related to various pharmaceutical sciences including drug delivery and dosage form design, pharmacy practice, pharmacology and toxicology, pharmaceutical chemistry, clinical laboratory sciences, and pharmacognosy.

Cumulative Grade Calculation

The graduation grade (cumulative GPA) is calculated by adding the weighted percentages from each academic year's final grade as follows:

Academic Regulations

 

Termination of Enrollment

A student's relationship with the college ends if they fail for two consecutive years in their level, or if they exceed the maximum permitted study duration (including repeat years, but excluding approved postponements).

 

Study Postponement

A student may postpone their studies for one year for legitimate and convincing reasons approved by the College Council. The student must submit the postponement request at least 30 days before the start of final exams.
